Two years have passed since Australian Black Majesty released their debut album, ’Sands of time’, an album proving that this would be a band to count on in the future. Now the successor is here and it shows a band that has taken a step forward in their developing process sounding a lot more mature than on the debut. Singer John Cavaliere is probably the bands strongest card, just listen to his performance on the cover version of John English’ ‘Six ribbons’. A very nice version of a great song. The bands style is still in the borderline between heavy metal and melodic power metal. It’s not difficult to hear that Black Majesty has been inspired by Iron Maiden, even though the Australians sound more pompous and polished than their British colleagues. Helloween has probably served as a source of inspiration as well. ‘Silent company’ has definitely become a good album, better than the debut and a natural step forward. The album has good production and an even and solid song material. I have no problems recommending this album to fans of the genre. 8/10 points
