26.09.2005 | Sands of Time ALBUM LAUNCH - MELBOURNE

The Melbourne album launch for Black Majesty's Sands of Time album will happen at the Central Club - 293 Swan St Richmond on Saturday November the 8th. Doors open at 8pm with The Eternal and Template also playing - so get down early! Cds will be available on the night. Black Majesty are currently working on a Sydney launch show.


26.09.2005 | PBS-FM /Screaming Symphony Interview - Webcast

Black Majesty will be doing an interview on PBS-FM's Screaming Symphony show this Tuesday night 10pm Aust time.. talking about the new album and the album launch and all things metal. With the show webcast it's a good chance for people around the globe to tune in via the net. Tune in on the internet at www.pbsfm.org.au (and from the Screaming Symphony website at: www.screamingsymphony.com). The time difference is currently 10 hours with regards to Germany. Lots of stuff happening with Black Majesty now that the Sands of Time has been released thru Europe on LMP and SPV in the US. Distro in Australia is thru Riot/Aztec. The Metal Mayhem store in Melbourne has also sold out of it's stock with more arriving soon. Early reviews have already been very positive with the band scoring a 9/10 in Germanys Rock Hard Magazine and making their "Dynamit" section with an interview feature in the current issue of the mag. The song Legacy is also on the new Rock Hard Sampler CD "Dynamit". Heavy Oder Was!? also gave the album quite an excellent review as did Australia's Kerrang SAIN and Beat Magazines in hometown Melbourne. Kinda old news this one but worthy of seeing the snap shot........ Of course German metal queen Doro played select shows in Australia on her Down Under tour recently. Here's a pic sent to us from Heavy Oder Was!? reporter Jagger who took a drink inspired happy snap of Black Majesty guitarist Hanny, Black Majesty bass player Mark and the Eternal keyboard player Little C - having a beer with Doro in Melbourne.

With the release of the Black Majesty debut album Sands of Time getting closer and closer (Sept 29 in Germany - Oct 14 in USA) the band are proud to showcase a sneak look at their new album artwork by acclaimed artist Dirk Illing (Wizard, Paragon...) Promo copies of the album have recently been dispatched from the LMP offices in Germany with many reviews and interviews to follow.

BLACK MAJESTY showcase new bass player Mark Kelson (ex Cryptal Darkness) at their next live show on Friday 29th of August at Melbourne’s newest metal club ‘Breakers’ in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne (690 Mt Alexander Rd Moonee Ponds). The night kicks off at 8pm and admission is $7.00. This will be Black Majesty’s last show before their worldwide cd launch for their debut album Sands of Time due for release September 29th through LMP Germany.

BLACK MAJESTY Sign 5 Album Deal With Major Euro metal label LMP!

New Australian melodic power metallers BLACK MAJESTY have signed a five album deal with major German heavy metal label LMP Records. Overwhelmed by interest from their 2002 three song pre release sampler the band that hail from Melbourne Australia fielded a number of worldwide offers finally deciding on the much respected LMP who are renowned as "the" power metal label in the metal world! The debut Black Majesty album titled 'Sands of Time' will be released worldwide September 2003 and features guest vocal performances from Silvio Massaro from Vanishing Point and ex Pegazus/currently in Eyefear vocalist Danny Cecati on two separate dual vocal tracks alongside Black Majesty voice John Cavaliere. Black Majesty would like to pass on best wishes to all for the Christmas season and impending new year. 2002 has been a busy and satisfying one as a whole for Black Majesty who wish to thank everyone for their continued help, support and friendship from all over the world in the lead up to the release of the debut Black Majesty album which is scheduled to be available early 2003.

SANDS OF TIME RECORDING NEARS COMPLETION

Black Majesty are at the tail end of studio work with the Sands of Time album and currently mixing songs with producer Endel Rivers. Although the final track order has not been finalised the album will feature 9 epic songs (plus an intro) comprising of:

Black Majesty have been chosen to feature with the song 'Guardian' on the free cover sampler disc of the world's best new bands from German Metal magazine "HEAVY, ODER WAS!?" (translates to "HEAVY, OR WHAT!?") This is the magazine behind the awesome "Bang Your Head Festival" in Germany.
Germany's premier metal mag "ROCK HARD" Magazine will also feature BLACK MAJESTY with the song 'FALL OF THE REICH' appearing on the magazine's free compilation disc this coming January highlighting Black Majesty as one of the world's brightest new melodic metal talents.

BLACK MAJESTY AWARDED BEST NEW AUSTRALIAN METAL BAND!!
