"BLACK MAJESTY very likely are the next Australian Heavy Metal-band that leaves its mark in Europe". Big words that the info unleashes here, but believe me, each of them is absolutely justified, because BLACK MAJESTY are simply put brilliant!
The opener "Fall Of The Reich" already sets off in great fashion, heavy, melodic Power Metal without and tralala and stuff, straight, melodic, powerful, crowned by the great vocals of John Cavaliere (btw the cousin of former PEGAZUS-fronter Danny Cecati, who also has participated as guest-vocalist on "Guardian"), who without a doubt has to be regarded as one of the best singers "down under"!
"Guardian" excels in its slight progressive touch, which does not take away anything from the accessibility and dynamics of the song, and the vocals - just incredible! This is how slightly progressive, cliché-free Power Metal has to sound. Damn good so far, but BLACK MAJESTY then follow that up with such a hammer as "Beyond Reality", which shadows everything before, everything without a doubt fits here: dynamics, heaviness, melodies, arrangement, almost perfect!
Add to that a very good production, which also shadows many high-gloss products of more famous acts, a really good cover, leaves only one negative point: ONLY THREE SONGS! I NEED MOOOORE!
Fans and label of this world, unite and support BLACK MAJESTY, a whole album of this great band and I am in heaven! (Online October 7, 2002)
